A birthday wish...
When i was in high school i had a high school sweetheart. I was with him off and on for a couple of years, we had are issues and fought constantly but we always stayed together. Why? i'm not sure... young and stupid i guess!
When I was 18 we stopped talking, he turned into a total prick and told me he was going to make my life a living hell, I guess he was mad that i was dating his best friend for a year.. OOPS! Needless to say he did make my life a bit hard, he fucked me up emotionally for a while but thats life i guess. Its now been 7 years since I've seen or talked to him. I did run into some of his family recently when i was doing my christmas shopping and found out some horrible news. Turns out he has a brain tumor and has been in and out of the hospital for quite some time now...
WTF.... a brain tumor? why? how? now all the sudden i care again, well i always did but more so now that i know this. I dont know all the details but how good can a brain tumor be?
His birthday is december 15th, yes i remember after all these years, I debated on getting him a card, I asked a few of my friends what they thought i should do. Some of them thought i should and others said no way fuck that!
Anyways i thought about it for a while and I decided to suck it up and send him a card. It was just something i had to do. I wished him a happy birthday and a merry christmas and wrote a small note wishing him the best of luck, I also left my number so lets see if he calls.
It will be so weird if he does call cuz its been so long since we've talked.
What does everyone in blogger land think, if you were in this situation would you call me back? honestly? anyways I'll keep you all updated....

I think it's nice that you sent a card.
I believe firmly in Karma (just ask Hella!). No one deserves a tumor. We are young and stupid and then we grow up. I hope he has grown up and can appreciate your nice thoughts.
