RIP Brad
For the past 2 1/2 months Ive been taking care of a young resident in the retirement home that i work in. He moved in with bad kidneys from drinking every day for the past few years. He was 33. When I first met him I was a bit startled by the way he looked, He was very thin, jaundice and bug eyed, I had never seen anyone like this before so of course i was a bit shocked, to be completley honest he was a bit creepy looking. He had lost over 100 pounds in a short period of time and seemed to go more downhill each and every day. Over the 2 1/2 months i grew a buddy like relationship with him, we got along well. I truly thought that he was getting better and would pull through, he did appaer to be getting a bit better for a week or so but it didnt last long. He then was in and out of the hospital and became sicker and sicker, he was so weak and frail that i was scared to touch him. It was sad! He was always in good spirits, I mean you could tell that he was really depressed but he did smile and have some laughs with me anyways. He told me that he loved christmas time and that his new kitten made in him happier because of the company.
He was admitted to the hospital thursday with renal failure and passed away yesterday in the afternoon:( He didnt even get to make it to christmas.. He was a great young guy and it was a shame to hear the news. I feel for his family at this time of loss and my heart goes out to them..
~~~RIP BRAD~~~
3 want to get Lei'd!.:
R.I.P indeed. Alot of people do not have any understanding of this illness, or sympathy for a person who dies from it. Pray for them, because they are going to need it.
I'm sorry to hear this Hollz! Hugs to you! It's always sad to hear about someone passing away, especially when they are so young, and it's so close to Christmas.
