Tuesday...

Hey everyone, just poppin by to say hey.. Its late, its like 1;05 am and im so tired.. I'm going to bed shortly.. Today was an ok day, I was busy though! I took my taxes in today and my book keeper said I should be getting a cheque within the next 3 weeks WOO HOO its not a whole lot but every little bit helps i guess... I feel sorry for people who have to pay out, that SUCKS! I remember a couple years back i owed the goverment $700.00, and man was i ever pissed!! Thats just not fair...

Anyways im gonna keep this post short and sweet cause im Sooooo sleppy so have a good one!!

I had started the low carb diet last Wednesday. It's been one week and I weighed myself today - lost 5 pounds. Maybe you should consider it to help you jump start losing some weight. Get rid of the diabetes, ya know.

Atkin's - I've done it before. It's difficut to not feel guilty on that diet because you're eating eggs, bacon - protein, fats, etc. But low carbs so initially eliminate pasta, bread (regular bread with higher carbs), potatoes, starchy vegetables. BUT it does not raise cholesterol and helps with diabetes, cholesterol, weight, etc. They have a website - do your research. If you've never done it before, read, read, read and make sure you understand what you can and can't eat. I have the hardbound book that I bought at a College Campus for $5 - originally $24. You can have alcohol - pure alcohol, so vodka, gin, rum. On this diet I drink Captain Morgan's and Diet Coke. Wine and beer have more carbs. You'll learn about ketosis. Get committed and read it well to really understand and it really works! You can't have things like milk (high in carbs) but you can have heavy cream, 1/2 and 1/2, sour cream, cream cheese. You will learn to read the labels and become creative in your eating habits to get what you need to satisfy you. You won't be hungry on this diet. I had 2 eggs and 3 strips of bacon for breakfast yesterday. A salad for lunch that had veggies and meat in it. A veggie snack. Drink water and or decaf tea and coffee (decaf is better when you're dieting so you won't retain water) and 2 burgers and a vegetable last night for dinner. Do it now while you're still young because you're already showing signs of diabetes. I'm in my mid-40's and I don't want high blood pressure and diabetes so I'm going to try to stay focused and dedicated to it and change myself for good. Best of luck.
